Last December, I booked a nice B&B apartment with swimming pool in Mondello, Sicily for my long-planned summer ‘workation’. After enjoying the sun, food, and nice weather I decided to share my travel and work impressions of my KYHIP setup.

Mondello is the most beautiful beach of Palermo with its fine sand and crystal-clear sea. It is ideal for people who like to enjoy and relax on nice beaches with stunning sunsets. If you are looking for work inspiration or relax in the coloured beach huts, I would recommend taking a break, recharge, and refresh at Mida Lounge bar which is located at the beginning of the Mondello beach. In the mornings I was working from there enjoying the sea air, beautiful beach view and my Italian coffee. In the afternoons I was usually working from my B&B apartment which was 10 minutes walking distance from Mida beach bar. Also, I want to mention that I really enjoyed my stay at B&B ‘Rugerro’s garden’ (you can find it on Airbnb), it is a the most wonderful and quite place near the beach with an amazing pool. In both places, B&B and Mida bar, the WIFI network connection was very good, and I had no issues when working.

As initially said, this was a workation and not only vacation 😊 and that’s why when working remotely, it can be technically challenging. But, with KYHIP I overcame a lot of obstacles, that I previously encountered such as: VPN subscriptions, downloading software or any other task that can take up your time (and stress). With KYHIP, the only thing I had to do is to connect my small router (Beryl in my case) to my laptop and there you are. I shared the hotspot from my iPhone to the router as per instructions and it worked smoothly for my whole stay of two months. I truly enjoyed working with my economy package and would recommend it to everyone.
