What is a VPN?
VPN stands for “virtual private network”, a service that protects your Internet connection and privacy online.
It creates an encrypted tunnel for your data, protects your online identity by hiding your IP address and allows you to use public Wi-Fi hotspots safely.
The main purpose of a VPN is to hide your online activity. VPNs are often used to guard against hackers and snoops on public networks, but they're also useful for hiding your IP address, geolocation, browsing activity, and personal data on any Wi-Fi network.
Will a VPN slow down my Internet connection?
Yes, you may notice a speed decrease when using a VPN. With KYHIP, your speed is limited by your home Internet UPLOAD speed, since all traffic is routed through your home Internet connection, and also by the hardware performance of your chosen KYHIP package.
In almost all cases, the speed decrease will not be noticeable when using KYHIP, and you will be able to do everything on the Internet as you would back at home.
With KYHIP, you don't share your bandwidth with anyone else, so you will always have consistent VPN speed.

How KYHIP works
How does KeepYourHomeIP work?
KYHIP provides you with an encrypted tunnel from the travel router to the server router. By connecting to your travel router, all your devices will appear to be located in your home country, and you will be able to access country-specific services from outside of the country. KYHIP also provides you with secure access to your home network from anywhere.
Your VPN server is hosted at your home and your VPN client always travels with you. This means the VPN infrastructure is completely owned and controlled by you. For the underlying Internet connection, you rely on your home ISP.

Pre-requisites for having KeepYourHomeIP VPN server at home?
Your home Internet connection’s upload speed will really matter here and we advise at least 30Mbps. This is very important because your VPN download speed will be limited by your home connection upload speed.
Compatibility
Can I use KYHIP VPN with my corporate VPN?
Absolutely, KYHIP VPN is fully compatible with corporate VPNs and works seamlessly on top of them without requiring any software installation.
VPN software such as Palo Alto GlobalProtect and Cisco AnyConnect is fully supported.
This provides complete privacy protection, as your online activity remains intact, and no one can detect you're using KYHIP VPN.
Does KYHIP VPN infrastructure work in every country?
Every country has a different stance on VPNs, and not all see them as favorable. Currently, a handful of governments either regulate or outright ban VPNs. VPNs are regulated or illegal in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Syria, Bahrain, Belarus, Cuba, Iraq, Myanmar, North Korea, Oman, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Yemen, Venezuela, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, India, Russia and China. Please note that KYHIP works in most of the countries where VPNs are regulated, but that might change. KYHIP does NOT work in Egypt, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Uzbekistan. In Saudi Arabia KYHIP might not work. KYHIP currently works without problems in UAE, India, Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan. For the other countries listed, we have no up to date reports.
How many devices can I connect to the VPN travel router simultaneously?
There are no restrictions on the number of devices that can connect to the VPN Travel Router via Wi-Fi. The Economy Light travel router supports a single wired Ethernet connection, while the Business travel router accommodates up to two wired Ethernet connections.

What do I get with my Economy Light and Business VPN package?
With every VPN package purchase, you will receive two VPN routers by default, either from the Economy Light or Business package, unless you choose the option for two travel routers on the shop page. In that case, you will receive a total of three routers: one VPN server router and two VPN travel routers. Your purchase also includes a complimentary one-month trial subscription.
Is there a trial period?
We're pleased to offer the convenience of risk-free shopping with our free returns for all items.
We accept returns within 30 days of your original purchase date.
In this period, you should test the network and devices to ensure they meet your requirements. Make sure to also test your corporate VPN software if applicable.
If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with the setup, you can return it, returns are free.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription, please visit your account page on keepyourhomeip.com, navigate to "My Account," and then click on "Cancel Subscription." Once submitted, your subscription will be canceled and will not renew in the future.

Do you log my data?
No, KeepYourHomeIP does not log or store any user data. We prioritize your privacy and ensure that all your online activities remain secure and private.
Do I need a public IP address?
No, a public IP address is not required. The KYHIP Plug and Play solution is designed to work seamlessly with any internet connection, including those behind NAT (Network Address Translation) or firewalls. This ensures that you can set up and use the solution effortlessly, regardless of your ISP's configuration, making it highly versatile and user-friendly.
What happens when I move homes?
If you are moving homes or relocating your VPN server, simply connect the VPN server to your new home modem using the provided Ethernet cable.

Express shipping costs €20 extra, and takes 1-2 business days to the EU and UK, Norway, Switzerland, or 2-4 business days to the USA, Canada and Australia.
For the rest of the world we only offer the Express shipping option, with an expected delivery within 3-5 business days.
